Fix Skipped Stitches Fast (3-Step Flow)

When stitches skip, do not jump straight to pile-height, timing, or replacement parts. Check the external setup first and change one variable at a time.

Quick flow

1. Backing stable and evenly taut? 2. Yarn feeding freely and threaded correctly? 3. Machine contact and movement consistent with the exact model's instructions? If yes and the symptom remains, move to model-specific inspection.

1. Check the Backing and Frame

2. Trace the Yarn Feed

3. Check Contact and Movement

Keep the machine in the working position and direction described for your model. If skips change with posture, pressure, or movement, correct the technique before altering internal settings.

If It Still Skips

Unplug the machine before inspection. Check for visible damage, incorrect threading, or maintenance items described by the manufacturer. Internal timing, part alignment, pile-height mechanisms, and service procedures differ by model, so use the exact manual or manufacturer support.

Do not assume persistent skipping means the gun should be replaced.
